General
- Customers will be advised by telephone of the actual day of delivery within the delivery window.
- Deliveries are normally made between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
- Delivery is made with a one or two man crew and is subject to unimpeded access to a level ground floor site only. In the absence of previous arrangements being agreed delivery will only be made to the nearest level access.
- Delivery includes unpack and positioning of the unit to a cleared site, together with the responsible disposal of packaging materials.
- Drivers require access to the delivery premises with a vehicle and the ability to park legally for at least 15/20 minutes for a standard delivery.
- Delivery vehicles are equipped with tail lifts and carry handling equipment to move the product on level surfaces.
- Many items in the range are large in size and heavy in weight (150kg - 300kg is typical). Some items are crated and this additional pack size needs to be considered when determining access.
- Standard equipment carried on vehicles cannot be used to move appliances up/down stairs. Crews cannot remove doors or undertake other work of this nature to effect a delivery.
- Every effort will be made to meet delivery dates as advised; however please note that United Aluminium will not accept responsibility for consequential loss claims arising from late or failed deliveries.
- Should an agreed delivery fail due to a transport issue we will always strive to offer the customer the earliest possible redelivery date (usually the next working day).

IMPORTANT - On receipt of your delivery, please ensure all items are checked before signing the carriers’ delivery note. In the unfortunate event that goods are damaged, the carriers’ delivery note must be signed ‘damaged’. If you are unable to check your goods at the time of delivery, the carriers’ delivery note should be signed as ‘unchecked’. Failure to follow the above guidelines may invalidate any insurance claim to the carriers.
Delivery terms
Delivery lead-times are given in good faith and United Aluminium Ltd will not be responsible for any kind of delay in transit. We accept no liability and the buyer has no right to cancel the order if delivery is delayed beyond the estimated time unless we have specifically agreed in writing to deliver on a particular date.
Prior to dispatch great care is taken to inspect and package all goods. Upon receipt of a delivery, all goods must be examined for damage before signing the carrier's note. In the event that goods are damaged, the carrier's note should be endorsed accordingly, the goods should be kept in the original packaging at the buyer's premises for later inspection and United Aluminium should be notified in writing within 24hrs. Failure to comply with any of the above will be deemed that the goods are acceptable and the buyer unconditionally waives any right to reject the aforementioned goods.
Our liability in respect of loss or damage to goods shall not exceed the invoice value of the goods (excluding VAT) and our liability shall in no event extend to consequential or indirect loss or damage, loss to third parties or loss of business.
The goods must be delivered to the delivery address agreed with United Aluminium. Under no circumstances should the carrier be instructed by the buyer to deliver to another address or to leave the goods elsewhere.
If the buyer, or a representative of the buyer is not available to check and take delivery of the goods at the delivery address, this may result in the carrier needing to return on another date and a delivery surcharge to the buyer may apply.
